    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Hi, I had trigger finger and carpual tunnel surgery 3weeks ago, the carpual tunnel site is healed well but the trigger finger site is giving me problems. Its still stiff and sore and where the stitches were removed it is now puffy, getting hard and has a jelly belly sized hard spot at the bottom that hurts like crazy when touched. The puffiness makes it hard to make a fist is this normal? At times it looks like its turning purple at times even!

I have heard about trigger finger surgery and am wondering what it is. My ortho doctor told me the pain and swelling at the base of my thumb is arthritis...and wondering if that is what is meant by trigger finger pain. He has suggested surgery. Thx for any answers.
