USPSTF Draft Recommendations

Tomato05 responded:
Wise words from the NOF. Supplements can play a vital role in the management of osteoporosis.

It's very difficult to have one's diet's spot-on day after day, with all the required amounts of nutrients.

And even those who think they get enough vit. D from the sun, may not spend enough time every day in the sun. Besides, they don't know how efficient (or not) their bodies are in making vit. D. As we age, our bodies are not that adept in doing it any more.

The USPSTF findings add to the confusion about benefits of supplements.
