I was diagnost with osteoporosis in my lower back, is it safe to start
a program for race walking. I have been a runner for the last four years
and was told running would not be good for my back.

I heard running is too stressful on osteoporosis so I walk - but fast!
I also walk wearing a weight vest which my therapist recommends its very comfortable and looks good by nyknyc
With the added weight my MD said I have gained some bone density back again so I am sticking to my program of proper diet and weighted vest.
