Is sharp pain more of a cyst indicator vs. cancer sign?

Hello, I'm 41 and am having sharp pains in my left ovary. Between my age and the fact that I'm ovulating makes it seem likely that it is a cyst. I've been trying to find the differences in symptoms of ovarian cyst verses ovarian cancer, and haven't found a lot. I'm wondering if my sharp, intermittent pains are more of a cyst indicator? I'm not asking for a diagnosis, I'm just wondering if sharp pains are generally more typical of cysts. Of course I realize that only a doctor can officially diagnose anything - I'm simply asking for personal opinions. Thanks so much. My heart goes out to you dear women who are battling ovarian cancer, I wish I could give each of you a big hug. Caring thoughts are with you all!

Hiya,

This very well could be a cyst. But as you said only a doctor can know for sure, bottom line is you need to follow up with your doctor.

You can do a search on WebMD,
I found this for you too;
