Ovarian Cyst

I was told I have a 6cm ovarian cyst. I was told I needed surgery right away to remove it so I got a second opinion. The Doctor said birth control should help desolve the cyst. But I have been on the pill for almost 2 cycles now and I feel the pain had increased a little and now occurs more often. I am really tired of dealing with this constant pain. What should I do?

Melicias96 - in July 2010 I was diagnosed with a 2.5 ovarian cyst and had surgery. I ended up with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. My suggestion would be that you find a good oncologist and have surgery to find out exactly what is going on. Best wishes - Marilyn
