womens yearly exams should include vaginal ultrasound
peats posted:
My friend was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, another one with uterine and was not detected with a yearly exam or pap only when they ordered a vaginal ultrasound was it found. How can I get started having doctors require this as a yearly exam like pap, breast and the 2yr dexa. My friend is still here, but left go would be gone by now. Whom do I need to contact to move this along? Do I need petitions? Please help me I am determined to fix this before it is too late for someone else. peats at

I'm not sure there is much you can do. Look into but, it's usually the insurance companies that call the shots. A lot of time they won't cover extra testing for standard care.

Share your concerns with your doctor, maybe he/she would have some ideas.
Good luck and good health!
