My mother, 63 years old, informed me yesterday that she has cancer. The doctor informed her that her first test revealed that she has stage I (well differentiated carcinoma). She has her first appointment with the oncologist in a week.

This is all new to me. I'm at a loss of words and knowledge about the steps of treating cancer. I've been reading up on hysterectomies, radiation, chemotherapy, and such. I'm just looking for advice, support, and your experience to better understand what I will be experiencing in the next couple of days/weeks/months.

Thanks in advance.
