Okie dokie.......let me know kiddo. Keep good thoughts now ....I will. Be well, Jan
God Bless you.
However, the cramps were still persistent. When we got home, I made an appointment with my general practitioner thinking perhaps I had an ulcer or some other stomach issue, and he could refer me to a GI specialist. I was diagnosed as having Irritable Bowel Syndrome. But again, the diet changes and medicine were not alleviating the symptoms. At the suggested time, I went for follow-up to my OB/GYN and with a transvaginal ultrasound they found that the cyst had grown and scheduled me for laparoscopy. The day before my surgery they did my blood-work and found my CA125 to be over 3,000, normal is between 0-35. I had advanced ovarian cancer which had spread throughout my abdominal area in a little over 2 months. I started chemo the next day. I have since been tested for the BRACA gene, and I am BRACA1 positive which means that I am at high risk for ovarian and breast cancer. I had a total hysterectomy (including ovaries and cervix) in December 2008 after my chemo, and I will have a double mastectomy this summer. I am currently undergoing additional chemo targeted at women with BRACA1.

Good Luck, God Bless and let me know how YOU do.
