I have a major question. I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts when i was 13, i am getting ready to have my second child. The doctors i am seeing don;t seem to be listening to me about my cervix not dialating, so I would really like to know how to tell if i go into labor? i can't go by the signs other women do, because my first son was delivered by emergancy c-section because they endeuced me at the hospital and my cervix dialated to 6cm then closed back up as if my son was already delivered. I dont know the full details about that day because i was on pain meds that i asked for and slept through almost the whole thing. So could you please tell me how i can tell if i were to go into labor since noone else can?

I am 44 years old and have been having allot of symptoms. Pain on left side which has spread to the right side. abdominal bloating, nausea,bladder urgency, pain in abdomen and upper right side, changes in bowel habits for about the last 3 months. I have always had regular menstrual periods till about 5 monthes ago I have had 3 extra periods in between. I had 2 vaginal ultrasounds the first one about 5 weeks ago said the left adnexa is enlarged 4.2 cm including a complex mass 2.6cm with some shadowing and cystic areas. I went to a Gynecologist who is not an Oncologist but specializes in laparascopy. This ultrasound showed it increased in size about a half inch. She says it looks mostly cystic. They want to remove the left ovary and she said if its cancerous which she doubts they would remove everything else. My question is shouldn't they do more testing before they go in there? ct scan and a ca 125. I asked her what would be the use of taking the other ovary if for some reason cancer has spread to other areas stomach liver etc. She did not seem concerned with my other symptoms. I have asthma but feel like there has been something that feels different breathing especially after I eat. She seemed like she disregarded that.
I am tired of the wait and see attitude yet their real quick to want to remove everything if its cancerous. Once it spreads to other areas stomach etc. isn't it pretty much past the point? If its in other areas I'd like to keep at least one ovary if I'm a goner anyway. I prefer to know the facts not to be kept in the dark. Back to my basic question in your opinion should I have more tests done.?

HI DR I HAVE BEEN EXPIERIENCING PAIN ON MY RIGHT SIDE FOR A WHILE NOW AND FINALLY COULD NOT TAKE IT AND WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TWO DAYS AGO ( I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE) THEY RAN MULTIPLE TESTS INCLUDING BLOOD WORK, CAT SCAN ,ULTRA SOUND . MY RESULTS WERE A 4 CM CYST ON MY RIGHT OVARY AND A DARK SPOT ON MY LIVER THAT THEY SAID WAS "PROBALY" A HEMANGIOMA ?? TO THE SAY THE LEAST I AM VERY WORRIED CANCER RUNS RAMPANT IN MY FAMILY MY GRANDMA HAD CANCER OF THE UTERUS AT 28 AND I HAVE 3 AUNTS THAT DIED FROM VARIOUS KINDS OF CANCER .. THE DOCTORS BASICALLY TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY AND FOLLOW UP WICH I AM TRYING TO DO BUT IT IS A 3 MONTH WAIT TO GET INTO THE COUNTY CLINIC . . SHOULD I BE WORRIED AND WHAT EXACTLY IS A HAMANGIOMA OF THE LIVER ?? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO RESEARCH IT AND I AM GETTING NOTHING AND HOW DO THEY KNOW THE DARK SPOT ON THE LIVER AND THE CYST IS NOT CANCEROUS IF THEY HAVE NOT DONE A BIOPSY ??????

Hi doc. my name is brandy i recently had surgery to remove a 21cm tumor from my abdomin... initially the dr only thought she would have to remove the tumor and one or both ovaries... half way through surgery the dr came out took my mother to a room and explained to her that it was cancer and that she would have to go back and remove my right ovary, appendix,omentum,lymphnods...... now we're waiting on pathology to come back , the dr wanted a second opinion and sent them to johns hopkins... I'm curious what stage i could be in and could it be more than just ovarian cancer?

they have to do surgery to biopsy the mass.... once their in there they'll know what all to remove could be more than expected or less than expected...stay positive

they don't you need to see a gyno/oncologist
