Hello all, I wanted to ask a quick question. If a benign tumor is causing serious pain what can I do to help myself now ??, First a brief history,,,Had a CT scan and they found a lesion on my S1 (sacrum) Nov. 2011. So I had an mri done in Dec. 2011. The Ortho surgeon says she will do another MRI in May, which I had done, and My ortho dr, believes it to be a benign tumor,(Enchondroma) said she suggests waiting one year and we will do another MRI. and compare them. I have been in excruciating pain since Sept/Oct 2011, nothing has helped, except percocet, but they only give me 10-20 pills and they don't last long, I try to take only one a day. So, I went back to PC Doc. and she referred me to a pain management Dr....June 4th is my appt....I am still in serious pain, and any suggestions would be great... I think about going to an ER, but they don't help either. I feel like I'm getting bounced around and it hasn't stopped the pain at all. Run-on sentence i know,,, but in pain now so,,ya know

I would call the PCP back and tell him you have a June 4th appt. with Pain Management and could he write you a RX for whatever pain meds you need until then.

Good luck to you.

Take care, Annette

I agree with annette about contacting you PCP and see if they will give you the meds you need. Your appointment is a week and 1/2 away.

Thanks for your help,, but I already tried that route. My PCP said she won't give me any pain meds. So, it's just tylenol for me, until June 4th...
