My son has Gastroparesis. He was in Marinol, 10mg 3x times a day. It helped with his nausea, vomiting, insomnia, pain, cramping he gets in his stomach, it gives him a appetite, which helped him gain weight, it calmed his nerves and now we changed insurance and he was denied by the new insurance company. The new insurance company only ok it for aids and cancer patients. So now were back to where we started. Marijuana needs to be made legal, there isn't any difference between THC and regular marijuana.

Many insurance companies have appeal processes. I had an insurance company that did not have my sleep aid on their formulary. All it took was a letter from my doctor stating we had already tried the drugs on their list and they did not work for me. They approved it without any further problem and provided it until we left them for a different insurance company a couple of years later.

Take care, Annette
