Hi I have been recently been in an hospital for bad hip pain numbness in the toes my pain is about an 8 on an scale of 10 the doctor in the er suggested shots to the back for which i was told was extremly painfull I don't what to do that unless the last resort.
I'am on meds an muscle relaxer and hyros which helps do an degree however am afraid of being depended of those type of meds i'am already frusted and just begun some of the treatment it seemly feels like i'am going through more pain just to relive the pain i all ready have basicly speaking from the left hip butt area down to my toes which tingle or go numb at searnt periods of the day.
Know excise was told to me by the doctor to possable help with the pain just more meds I have know idea what i can or can not do far as lifting,pulling,walking,ect ect ect i'am sooooooooo frusted.
For the lack of information comeing toward me what soures of links and or more information may i look at for the pain cause like I said i just begun to deal with this type of pain i'am not even 2 weeks into this and my information line is already broke btw i'am 52 and this pain is just about unbareable

I wouldn't go by what the ER doctor tells you, I would see what your pcp tells you if you feel comfortable with him. If not find a pcp that you do feel good about.

Get a real diagnosis either from the pcp or from an orthopedic specialist and go from there. Lots of different things can cause pain and numbness, they all have different treatments. Once you get a diagnosis, maybe we will be able to help you more.
