I Just purchased a brand new Canon "Prosumer" Digital DSLR 5 D Mark III with all new generation "II" f/2.8 L Glass or better i believe my 85 MM is a f/1.2[L roughly spent $26,500 on my gear so as you can imagine first i will build a "monopod" type base for the Manfrotto tripod head that i bought, and once thats done i will be out shooting pictures enjoying myself .

At the same time i also purchased a Digital Rebel T3i which is on it's way to a company on the west coast who is going to "break it" for me, at least thats what Canon says because they are going to replace the sensor of the camera with a full Spectrum sensor which will then enable the camera to be used forensically taking visible light photos ultraviolet photos and infrared photos which i can then bring home run them through Adobe premium production suite CS6 and Lightroom 4 to get some very cool looking photos with some awesome effects that are just brought out by the shooting method like IR.

Peace

I think I now have camera-envy. LOL! That all sounds awesome! I better not show my best friend your post; she might end up going shopping.

Oh Caprice the things they added to the MKIII are stunning Like the Live view monitor is the same one on the 1d's and the MKII if you wanted Canon's wireless transfer to your network or GPS you had to sacrifice your Power Grip to do so, now its just a module that pops on to your hot shoe and your power grip stays where it belongs, they also added a vertical and horizontal in camera level, and the new 600 EX RT flash no more buying after market radio frequency poppers that fired the flash but did not exchange any info with the camera because without the popper it was line of site Canon solved that you can use optical or radio up to i belive 100 flashes controlled by one ST WR E3 module that does on your for shoe same thing as the ST E2 for the MKII but it adds wireless radio control. they also upped the resolution by almost 2 megapixels added 61 autofocus points moved the DOF button to where it should have been all along, and it uses both yes both at the same time CF CARDS & SDHC/XC so you can use one for RAW and the other for jpegs or one for HDvideo the other for photos or any combination you can think of so i did the only thing that was befitting that beast i put 256GB in each and set one for RAW and the other for jpeg there is nothing like the camera and the room to be able to save both at the same time even when shooting at 6 frames per second.

i also have a pre-order on the 24-70MM f/2.8L "II" USM
i had the original and it was a fantastic lens so i'm gambling that this is going to be stellar, I will let you know when i get it, was it worth the wait and the 2200$ i paid.

Peace

It's wonderful to 'hear' your enthusiasm! Clearly, photography is quite the passion for you.
