Finger Pain

If I posted this to the wrong community, my apologies. I wasn't quite sure where to post. Approximately a month ago I cut my fingertip requiring stitches. The stitches have been out for a little over 3 weeks. My main problem now is continued swelling in the finger, pain in both knuckles (neither of which were involved directly in the injury) and inability to fully extend the finger. Is this just part of the normal healing process or is something wrong? After having the stitches removed I was given no follow up.. help?

Follow up with the doctor that did the stitches if you never had any pain or swelling in this hand before. If you have, then see your pcp. Let us know what the doctor says.

It is not normal.

Take care, Annette
