Lower back pain

pinevol posted:
I have had surgery om my lower back in March of 2012 fusing my L4, L5, and S1 together and I am still dealing with lower back pain. I am having serious issues sleeping, back pain usually wakes me up. I have tried several mattresses (temperpedic, sleep number, pillow top) with no positive results an I am now looking at the options of a waterbed. Is this a viable option?

Hello.

Have you discussed your pain issues with either your primary doctor or your surgeon?

Most people with back problems enjoy success with the first two types of mattresses you mentioned. I love our sleep number bed.

I have heard that waterbeds do not offer enough support. You would have to lay on several waterbeds in a store to see if one would be right for you.

I pray you get answers and relief son.
