My husband ruptured his eardrum due to an ear infection. He works on the oil platforms in the gulf and the building he must stay in is pressurized. Is it a good idea for him to return to work?

What does his doctor say? That is who you should be asking.

We did ask his doctor and his doctor didn't understand what a pressurized building was. That is why I thought I would ask here.

I do not know what a pressurized building is either. It may be a job related thing, please explain it to the doctor and explain it to us.

Take care, Annette
