I have been living with chronic back pain for 5 years now and i lost my insurance so its hard to see a doctor to get my priscription for pain pills refilled. i can not get any relief from Tylenol, advil, or any kids of aspirin, heating pads and ice packs do not work, and neither do creams. is there anything that i can get without a priscription that will work almost like a narcotic?

Hello.

The only OTC med I can think of that you did not mention is Aleve (naproxen). Some people have had luck with Excedrin Back and Body, but I think that is aspirin and caffeine.

Unfortunately, I think the answer to your question is "no". You can check for low/no cost clinics in your area or colleges that offer spinal care and treatments to patients by interns for low cost.

I pray you can get relief soon.
Blessings,
