A bit long but please read, I'd like an answer or 2...scary moment at the ER

3 wks ago I was dx'd with a large complex cyst on my left ovary and 3 smaller ones on the right.I've seen my doc n gyne and some steps were taken to minimize the pain and symptoms.well a few days ago I ended up in the ER for the 3rd time in 1 month this time with pain and blood in the urine.well when they went to do an ultrasound, which I've had done before many times, they inserted a Foley, when the technician filled me up with the solution the pain was so intense that my legs, arm/hands and face started feeling tingly and all of a sudden my hands balled up into fist and I lost feeling and movement on my legs, hands and face. The technician tried to help but after failing she panicked and called my nurse in.The nurse held my arms close to my body and began trying to open my fisted hands which were stiff and numb...after a few minutes the technician emptied out my bladder and my body started "waking up" and it started to shake uncontrollably. The whole ordeal lasted like 10 minutes. First time this has ever happened to me, it was scary. The foley was filled with blot clots from my bladder. What could've caused this? I never want to go through this again!

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry you had to go through this horrible experience. I have no idea why this happened because I am not a medical professional. There are a few nurses that post in this WebMD Pain Management Community and one health expert doctor. They may be along eventually to reply to your post. The weekends are usually slow in the communities.

I pray for answers and relief for you.
