Sciatica pain
An_254132 posted:
I have experienced sciatic nerve pain (disabling) thrice, and this time it has been more than a year, but is not completely asymptomatic. I wish to start family planning , but I am afraid of getting this pain worsened. Any advice on how to go about it ?

Diagnosis precedes treatment. Sciatica can result from various causes, including trauma, tumor, disc herniation, osteophyte, spinal fracture, etc. You'll need a referral to a specialist which will result in an exam with an orthopedic surgeon or a neurosurgeon, likely an MRI and X-ray - and possibly also a CAT-scan. After the results are ready, you and the specialist can plan treatment. Until then, speculation is pointless.
