    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? I think response F.D.A. to P.R.O.P.

This is on the F.D.A. News Events page if the link is wrong. I don't post
much here but I read the post's alot I believe it does say the f.d.a. is
committed to make pain medicine to those who need it. They want for
pharmaceutical company's to make abuse- deterrent medicine's
they are suppose to have a time to consider patient's view. I hope I got this right. I will see what that is about the D.E.A.

    Thanks Dan

    Hi, Dan

Thanks for posting the link, but I got a "page not found" response.

What was the date of the press release?

    Take care, Annette

It was January 19 2013 Draft Guidance Abuse-Deterrence

I found it, under "Industry", it is a non-binding suggestion type thing, partly about labeling, is that what you were talking about?

I don't have any problems with the DEA or this article in particular. Thanks for the link.

    Take care, Annette

This is how I found it.

Abuse deterrent medicine is a great idea.

Absolutely....I am also all for medication that is made to deter abuse.
