Good morning, everyone.

Cold, damp, cloudy, rainy and in general yucky weather in WNY today. Pain levels at about a 6-7, so not too bad. My wonderful wife works 2-9:30, eldest son works 10-6, youngest son is off work today. I have no specific plans but will do things as able.

Have a blessed and marvelous Monday, friends!

morning dave - boy guess one word can describe it: ickie! LOL
it's chilly here too - had to turn the heat on last night and i'm glad I did and its still on - it's cloudy, a little bit of rain here an there and temps will only make it to maybe the low 50's - seems strange as we've had the ac on and I though that was a little too early for that -.

i really don't like weather changes it causes my pain levels to just go sky high - oh well maybe the weather will calm down a bit and stay where it's supposed to HE HE ~~ my husband and I have found a new game - guess old game re-introduced to us - Domino's - and did not realize that there were different types of games to play - only thing we did was line them up and know em down to see what types of designs we could make - so we've been playing that - got DH's father and my mom to play so it does make it fun the more you have!

well i hope you enjoy your day - don't do to much - take it easy - Joy

Hello to all!
I hope you're having a lower pain level day - I'm not: 8/10 and the meds don't want to work for me today. Now onto something more positive...

So Joy? Do you live in my neihborhood?? (j/k) The weather is exactly the same outside of my bedroom window right now. I haven't turned on the heat though, maybe that would help with pain, but I feel comfy as far as the temp goes.

I'm curious, do either one of you take Calcium with Vit D and Magnesium for muscle pain? Does it help? I read that this a.m. and decided to give it a go - but it's definately making my stomach turn...I also took some Glucosamine for the arthritis in my SI joints ('cause I heard that was good for them too). Words of wisdom: Don't take all these supplements at once - try and space them out. I did eat a small meal with them, but I feel like I might see them again, real soon..YUCK!!

I hope you have a great day, guys and thanks for writing and sharing! - B

Hi, Joy.

Oh, I can feel those barometric pressure changes and the cold fronts coming in a few days beforehand. I can fully relate to that.

We play a lot of games on the Wii. We have Hasbro's Game Night 1 and 2. It has games like Boggle, Yahtzee, Sorry on the first one, and things like Operation, Pictureka and Jenga on the second one - all in electronic format. My wife likes to play Donkey Kong Country - 1, 2 and 3 while I and our sons watch. You Dominoes games sound fun, though.

Hope you are having a great day.

Hi, B.

I started taking a 50,000 unit vitamin D pill once per week about 3 weeks ago. My doctor had added that to my usual quarterly blood test and found my levels were very low. I think it is helping a little with my chronic pain, as all the research says it should.

I am so sorry your pain levels are high today. I'll be praying that you get some relief very soon.

Take care.

hey there - i can't remember where u live - i know down south i think - i'm in th midwest - Missouri - lived here all my life except 8 years in CO - so i was surprised when I found out the true pronunciation of Missouri is actually Misery!!! it's an Indian name - so funny cause i used to tell everyone I lived in Misery -

yes i do take all of that - because of my blood pressure med and my thyroid med I can't take these items with them (funny) so I take them at night - with the exception of the Glucosamine which the ones I purchased u take one 3Xdaily - just on my first bottle of it and will keep taking it for a few months and see how that does.

i take a woman's multi vitamin, extra vitamin C, D, A, E and I take the calcium chews (can't tolerate the pills) I have not tried magnesium so may give that a try

but yea i do take all these at night - wish i could take em in the morning but boy does it really make me sick mixed with the blood pressure med and thyroid med - it's mainly the blood pressure med - and i can't take that at night as it does have a diuretic in it - oh well guess it wouldn't be too bad as i'm up during the night anyway ! LOL so i've written down the magnesium and will get that the next time i shop which will be when my DI comes in the 2nd wed of the month! ugh hate waiting for it but it's all mine to spend!! HE! HE!

hey dave - i wished we had a Wii it sound like fun and good exercise too! i have Yahtzee to but it's only me and my mom that play that - and it gets a little boring - but Dominoes is really fun - the first time Tim and I played it was over at our friends' house - Mary was working and we had just finished dinner - John suggested it and so we played a few games - it's was funny cause my hubby and John had had a few drinks and I was the only sober one!! well i guess u could say that but pain meds I guess could be construed as being dopey -

at l least it's getting our minds working by playing these games - getting better at remembering things -

take care -
