Keep trying and try a variety of foods. I notice that when my son is teething he doesnt eat much of anything, but his go to foods are string cheese and fruit.

Yeah, like PP said, just keep offering them a variety of foods. I have found that appearence can be important. DS really likes to eat a whole broccoli floret, not chopped bits. DD would chew on a whole chicken tender at this age, so again, not chopped up.

It is a learning curve for them and you as they transition to table foods - but it is worth it! And offer them a wide variety, so you have a chance they will continue to eat vegetables later!

I am in the same position. I have been trying to introduce "big people" food to my son and he does not seem to eat much. I also have noticed that with his teething that he just hoardes his food in his cheek like a squirrel and ends up gagging on his food. I am also trying to see about switching to regular milk, but do not know how much to start him out on, or if it should be slowly introduced, or which type of milk to start on (whole or reduced). My parents make fun of me for doing things "by the book" as they call it, but I just want to keep my little monkey man happy and healthy. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!

I am crossing my fingers that this changes after his teething situation calms down alittle. I just get really upset and worried when he gags on his food.

Hello Nicole I just wanted to say our daughter loves her baba's and I was worried about switching to whole milk too, but I did 3/4 formula to 1/4 milk for a week....week in a half...than 1/2 &1/2....for the next week, than 3/4 milk with 1/4 formula....well you get the picture....she took to it real good. Good Luck!
