2 year old eczema won't go away

My 2 year old son has had frequent flare ups with his exzema on his butt, but quickly go away with a few domeborro soaks, skipping baths and aveeno eczema cream. This most recent flare has been here for almost 2 months. I've been to the pediatrician, we tried steroid cream, then anti-fungal cream, free and clear products. I switched to natural diapers that are chlorine, fragrance, dye, plastic free. "free & Clear" soaps, even no soap. He doesn't eat dairy (mucus build up causes reperatory problems) or sugars (cause its bad for him)....i am out of ideas!!! I also need to point out he can't use Zinc oxide which is in almost every diaper rash cream, it literally takes the skin off his bottom in a day!!! Can anyone else suggest something I have not tried? I'm desperate, I can't listen to him tell me about the "boo boo" on his butt anymore! Help!

For my son's severe eczema I use "Cortizone 10 Intensive Eczema Healing Lotion, for itchy dry skin". No kidding? It took away his itchiness and helped heal some of his raw skin patches. I was absolutely amazed at how it worked so effectively! My kiddo's eczema was so bad he was scratching his skin with his teeth and he's lost skin layers on some of his body. It broke my heart.

For ingredients, I didn't see any Zinc Oxide listed. Here is the link for the ingredients of this lotion, its http://www.ditchtheitch.com/backpanel_eczema.htm
That's directly from the company's website (The company is named Chattem).

Goodluck, I sincerely hope your DS finds something to help ease his eczema. The poor lilguy, nobody should go through that, especially little ones

Do you know if this works the same as regular cortizone cream or better??? I've tried just the regular stuff which gave him a little relief but the domeboro ended up working better...

Thank you for the response!!

Not sure! Before this all I was using was Aquaphor in his bath. A good friend suggested I lather him down in Aquaphor while he was wet because it helped lock in the moisture on his skin. That helped too, but it was difficult because it made the tub slippery LOL.

I've never used regular cortizone, but this lotion claimed to have something called Restora while helps to heal the patches of skin that is raw. I'm no expert, all I know is that it's helped my lil guy significantly.

I am now 28yrs old and ive had exzema all my life,at times i will say that it gets so bad till i just dont want to be bothered, when it flares up im really angry and in one of those dont bother me moods. ive tried everything when i say everything i mean everything but just reccently i would say about an yr ago i had one of my flareups and didnt have the money to get the cream tha my doctor had perscribed for and all of a sudden while i was watchin tv a commercial came on talking about the cortizone10 intensive healing creme and lotion, and from that day forward thats wat i have been using and its really good, i mean really it is. I thought that i would never find something that would help me but when i tell u it works i mean it really works, and i can only use dove body soap anything else irritates my skin but i cant use all dove only the dove white or the dove for sensative skin, just thought that i would comment on your post because i know how your child feels, you dont know a person pain until you yourself has experienced it and i am currently experiencing this same situation, but now ive gotten it under control,so if u havent already tried this then you should i promise you u will see results within a weeks time.
