FRIDAY FUN - Your Exciting Weekend!

What is everyone doing this weekend? Are you celebrating Easter in some special way? Going out of town? Cleaning the house?
    What's the plan! Please share!!

I'm not going to be spending Easter with my LO this year because it is her father's turn. :( Instead, I will be working on the house, especially her playroom and her bathroom, which I just finished painting a lovely shade of periwinkle! My daughter's favorite animal (at THIS particular moment) is the NARWHAL, so I'm going to surprise her by decorating the bathroom with this fun sea unicorn! I was thinking that I would cut out felt narwhals and landscapes and frame them, since felt is durable with the steam from the bathroom. If anyone else has good "bathroom steam-proof" ideas, I'd LOVE to hear them! :)

Whatever you do this weekend, I hope that you all have fun and look forward to hearing about your own adventures!! :-D

Hubby and I have date night tonight for the first time since November. We're going to dinner and a show at the local casino. DS is staying over at my parents. Saturday, DH is going to pick up DS's new swingset! I'm hoping he loves it and will be entertainment for him for years to come.

And Sunday is dinner at my brother's house to celebrate Easter and my niece's 2nd birthday. Overall, an action packed weekend!

    Have fun everyone!

We have Easter brunch planned with both sides of the family Saturday and Sunday. Instead of an Easter Basket we are giving DD a t-ball set. I can't wait for her to try it out!

What I am really looking forward to is vacation! DH and I are going to Las Vegas for 5 days next week. DD is staying with my parents. I am REALLY ready for a vacation!

Today we dyed Easter Eggs and spent the morning at the park with my brother. Tomorrow is spending time with DH. Sunday is just an Easter Egg hunt at home and then my parents and brother will be over for Easter dinner in the afternoon. And then on Monday (which is a school holiday for DS) we are going to Sea World for the day.

HOLY COW!!! I'm so jealous of all of you?!? hehehe (Seriously, though :) )

I want to hear from everyone how things went! My weekend was not super eventful and, of course, I missed my LO. I had my hair done, which always feels like heaven, especially since I've become a mama! :)

@ MIOB - How was date night and the show? I've never been to a casino, so that sounds like such an exciting date! Did DH freak out when he saw the swingset? Please share!!!

@ lenono97 - I'm so excited to hear about your Vegas trip!! Is this your first time? How fun, congrats!!!

@ Leigh - Wish I was at Sea World with you guys, right now! We passed it in San Diego and it looked amazing. You better share the LO's reactions with us!

Amelia, glad you got out to do something for yourself!

DS did wonderfully at my parent's house - which is good considering he'll be staying there for 3 nights next month when DH and I go away for a work retreat. Our date night was wonderful - the show was very good, if a bit long! It was nice to get out and not rush through dinner.

I give my DH tons of credit for the swing set - he picked it up and set it up in the pouring rain Saturday and DS was thrilled to see it in the backyard...now if only the rain would stop so he could use it!

That all makes me happy! Love that DS enjoyed being with his grandparents. I remember feeling guilty leaving my little one at first, but in all actuality if they are enjoying each other, then I'm pretty much being selfish by keeping my DD all to myself! Congrats!

Glad that the date was wonderful, too, and I have MUCH respect for your husband's ability with the swing set. Our swing set for my DD was put together by her father and his two friends. They were miserable, cussing and the whole thing never actually was finished, though it is still usable and safe. Thanks for sharing your experience! I love living vicariously through you fun mamas! :)
