2 year old will hold poop
    cherbrig92507 posted:
My 2 year old grandaughter will hold her poop in until it hurts her so much that she is in tears. She refuses to let poop out. She is not constipated, so I am told by her peditracian. When some poop does come out its is small and soft. We are in the process of potty training her, but this has been going on for quite some time now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We are kind of having the same problem with our daughter. She'll hold it at daycare for some reason and then in the evening complains about a belly ache until I tell her that she has to poop. Yesterday at daycare, she was crying so hard saying her belly hurt and that she wanted mommy that we think she made herself get sick. Once I picked her up and took her home, she pooped and was fine for the rest of the day. I don't know how to get her to feel comfortable pooping at daycare?!? She goes at home for either me or my husband and goes when she's at grandparents'...I just don't get it.
