Swollen Tonsils...

Yesterday I was playing with my son and tickling him. He was laughing so loud and opening his mouth all the way. I noticed that his tonsils were pretty swollen. He has not been complaining of a sore throat or anything and he has been eating normal. He hasn't been sick at all. Do you guys think this is concern enough to take him to the doctor?

Tonsils are part of your immune system. They play a part in fighting infection. He could have allergies or even a mild virus that you don't know about because he's not showing any other signs. If he has no other symptoms I would say he's probably fine. Just keep an eye on him. Call your doctor if it doesn't go away.
