    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Travel, Vacations & Amusement Parks with Little Ones

A recent post on another community about family plans to go camping with a newborn and other children got me reminiscing about traveling (and over-packing as my husband would say) with little ones.

Traveling, vacations and amusement parks can be challenging for anyone, add in little kids you can have a true challenge on your hands.

See this blog post from Dr. Benaroch and then come back and share your summer plans and travel tips for managing while on the go. Anyone else think they over-pack?

There's no such thing as overpacking with kids. If we're going to be someplace two days, I'll pack 3 shirts and 3 shorts/pants. I do not count on them wearing the same shirt/pants/shorts more than once. I'll make sure I take extra diapers because who wants to run out of diapers where you either cannot buy anymore or they cost an arm and a leg.

I agree tbkittycat! I tend to overpack with all the little just in case necessities - band-aids, neosporin, other OTC meds. Things do seem to be more expensive when you have to buy them on vacation.

Share you vacation or travel pics - Here is one of the kids from last week. See what you look forward to in a few years, they will actually entertain themselves -

Oh, my kids entertain themselves just fine most of the time but what they are doing isn't necessarily something we want them to do or they should be doing.
