2 1/2 year old son having sleep issues

My son and his mother have been apart for a little less than a year, and my son apparently just within the past few weeks, after being asleep in his own room, will come out and fall asleep against the wall outside he and his mother's door, or sit in his chair by his bed asleep, or stand next to his mother's bed while she's sleeping.
