fewer and high white blood cells
An_222545 posted:
my 3 year old niece has been running a high fewer, 105 for about 2 days. Her white blood cells are high. Is it normal for the white blood cells to be high when running a fewer?
MrsWhiteCastle responded:
That's a really high fever, and to have it that long! What do the doctors say?

I hope she feels better soon.

It sounds like they are fighting a serious infection. What does the doctor say?

I believe it's a sign of an infection.

I agree, that is a high temp. She should have a doctor take a look at her ears, etc
im4shoes77 replied to curleysue1968's response:
I would assume she has been to a Dr since you know her white blood cell count. What did they say, 105 is a VERY high fever, do they have her in the hospital? White Blood cells indicate an infection of some kind, the fever would be her body trying to fight it off.
