So stove shopping?

I have a gas stove I will be replacing. Just wondering what brand y'all have and if you like it? I currently have a whirlpool and haven't been all that happy with it....
I can't do electric because my kitchen is only set up with gas and I don't want to re-do the electrical.
Thoughts? (standard size and I am thinking around $500) or at least hoping for that !

I have a gas Fridgidare (sp) and like it. It's about five years old. It's really basic though. Just the stove, oven, and broiler. But it works and gets the job done! The only thing I can recommend is buy a self cleaning oven!!!!!

We went stove shopping recently. We also have a Whirlpool (it is about 20 years old), and we were going to replace it with a GE rated well by Consumer Reports. We thought we needed a "slide-in" stove since it fits in an opening between counters, but when delivery time came it wouldn't fit. It turns out we need a stand-alone.

CR rated Frigidaires high in baking, which is important to me, so I've been thinking of getting one when we try again. Kenmore seems reliable but we don't like appliance shopping at Sears.

Hope this helps a bit!
