Heat wave coming!

Haylen_WebMD_Staff posted:
According to MSNBC.com's report on the National Weather Service's Prediction

"It could feel like 105 degrees or above over a large swath of the nation this weekend, from the Dakotas and Minnesota to Texas and Louisiana."

California has Carmageddon this weekend (major freeway shut down, disaster predicted) So....we're going to see the Winnie the Pooh on Saturday and visit friends with a pool on Sunday. Lots of popsicles. Probably a fair amount of television.

Is a heat wave predicted for your area? What are your plans to stay cool?

Heat? Bring it.

I think the carmageddon thing is kinda funny. Having lived in LA, I know how disastrous it is (being hyped) to be, but outside of LA it just sounds silly. I hope you enjoy a nice weekend hanging out at home!

I'm in Texas - it is always hot here. We are in the low 100s most days right now. Plans for the weekend are to go to the park early on Saturday and then come home and wait for our new bed to be delivered. We are going to the pool this morning with friends.

same 'o, same 'o for us. Maybe a tad bit warmer, kind of like the record heat we had in June which is typical for August here.
