I work for a Church that also has a school. There have been 4 reported cases of the flu already between the congregation and the school children.

    Anyone else seeing the flu?

I have a headache today and Ava woke up with a headache. Her teacher called at 2:30 saying her head was still hurting but that no other symptoms per the school nurse. DH just called after picking her up; the teacher sent her to his vehicle with a garbage can. Yep, you guessed it, she hurled on the way home.

    Ugg....I hope it's just a fluke!!!

Oh crud!! Hopefully everyone is feeling better.

Thanks Mrs. W and Steph! I gave her jello and juice last night and a bit of ibuprophen. She kept all down and still complained that her head hurt a bit this morning. But she ate a bowl of cereal with no problems. They have Mass on Friday morning and I go. So I told her teacher I would be there if she took a turn and needed to leave. But she was fine all through.

So hopefully it was a quick bug or just a fluke. Fingers crossed!

just a thought- ask Ava if she's hit her head recently.

My nephew did when he was about 6 or 7 and didn't tell my sister. He had no other symptoms but puked the next day and had a headche. My sister took him to the dr and the dr asked him if he had hit his head- he said yes. He had never told my sister and had a mild concussion.
    UKbluegirl2 replied to VicsEandJ's response:
Oh wow Vickie. Thanks I'll ask her.

Coincidentally my head was hurting also yesterday, borderline migraine all day. And I also felt like puking once, but that was during my Insanity workout.

The teacher said she took out Ava's ponytail and massaged her head to make it feel better. I'm pretty sure teachers didn't do that when I was growing up.

Wow! That's great that the teacher did that, but I'm sorry she's not feeling well. I've been having headaches lately, but I'm pretty sure those are from my allergies.

I had a teacher once make me a mug of hot cocoa while we waited for my mom to pick me up when I started running a fever at school. It turned out I had bronchitis, and was really sick, but I still remember how nice it was for the teacher to do that for me.
