We got the results of MIL's liver scan. There appears to be a cancerous spot on it with two benign cysts. They want to remove her gall bladder tomorrow and do a biopsy on the liver. What a year.

Well here is the latest on our roller coaster week. MIL saw the surgeon yesterday afternoon. We aren't doing anything until after the New Year. He doesn't think the spot on her liver is cancer. Especially given its size and that she doesn't show any signs of cancer. This is good news. We are going to keep tabs on it. She is 80 so it could be many other things. As for her gall bladder, it appears that she has gallstones. Given her age, the surgeon would rather deal with the gallstones over taking it out. She is at home today and happy to be out of the hospital. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
