I ran over at 1:15 to help with Ava's party until 3. And it was just as you described yours. The K kids are fun to say the least!!!!

Wil's class had their party in the morning so I had to miss that one. Oh well maybe next year!

I'm so jealous of your YOU day. I may have to take a LYNN vacation day soon. I've not had a pedicure in ages....I REALLY need a mani. This cold air is wreaking havoc on my hands.

Enjoy your day Sandra!! Post a pic of your necklace!

I'm glad you guys got to go! It's a hassle but worth it - the kids love to see mom show up, huh?

Ours was crazy disorganized. Pizza and about 30 desserts. The kids were out of their minds. Below is my daughter (with glasses) and some friends as well as the treat bag she gave out totally created by my BFF (the pattern for the card was so cute with snakes - my kid loves reptiles)

Tre was so excited. He kept giggling and hugging me. It was so sweet !
He was talking all day about how his mommy was going to be there!
I wouldn't trade that for anything. It was so fun and warmed my heart!

Wow, you guys have serious Valentines Day parties. Levi's was a heart shape cookie and pass out Valentines during snack.
    baby1at35 replied to iocasta's response:
Oh yes ours are an hour long. We (parents ) plan /make/buy the games and crafts.
I did 2 things..heart toss (a big piece of cardboard with a heart cut in the center (another mom made and did great ! I made the "bean bags". I had red balloons stuffed with beans.
My craft. It was 2 poster boards. We traced their hands and they got to write their name on it /decorate their hand with glitter /stickers.
Another game matching and little valentines for parents/family.
It is tons of work but it was very successful. We had 4 parent helpers so each had an assigned group and we rotated "stations". They were busy the whole time and at the end cookies/pop from PTA. We had the teacher hand out valentines earlier because we didn't have time during the party!
I did get one picture but otherwise I was too busy!
All the little ones gave me hugs saying you are Tre's Mom. I know it is tons of work but sooooo worth it ! Plus the other moms from the K room are just great !

Parents bring in the treat and supplies as requested by the teacher. We were warned any goodie bags sent to school would be sent right back home.

They didn't have any parties at DC's school but my kids came home with a lot of candy and cards. They had so many sweets they didn't even get around to eating any of the chocolate DH & I bought them.

This year at DS's school they had the party in the gym. The PTA decorated the gym. There were fruit, Chex Mix, cupcakes, cookies and ice cream floats in one gym and games in the other. All 5 kinder classes had their party at the same time and they could go where ever they wanted between the two gym. (The other grades had their parties together by grade level throughout the day.) It was a blast. Everyone loved it. This was the first time they did it this way. I worked the float station and once everyone had been through I got to hang out with DS for about 10 minutes before he returned to class. The party was only 40 minutes long and then they had 5 minutes of lining the kids up and another five minutes to prepare for the next grade.

Yes it was big time for Ava's class. One healthy and one not-so healthy (sugar cookie) treat were requested. I was the guest reader, there was a craft mom and a game mom. Great fun!!
