The boys have VBS starting today and are super excited !
I am off to a power step class ! Yikes wish me luck. I did 3 miles on the eliptical /treadmill yesterday. Hope I can survive this class. I have a punch card and get a free tshirt at the end of the summer for going to classes (which I wanted to try anyway). I guess we will do anything for a free tshirt. Haha! Any little incentive helps.
I am trying to stay motivated with diet/exercise so if anyone else wants to post as well feel free. Helps motivate me to see others going for their goals too !
Happy Tuesday.

Eeeekkk.... A power step class sounds rough! Let us know how it goes.

I'll be heading to the gym this morning. I just need to get some breakfast in me first, and nothing sounds good. What do you usually eat before going to exercise?

I usually eat yogurt and a fiber bar before. Or a small bowl of oatmeal. I have to have some breakfast in me before I go otherwise I crash!
I have in the past drank a protein shake before a workout too.
Food is my biggest obstacle. I tend to just eat whatever even if the boys have a great meal. So I need to be more mindful on my eating . Like actually sit down and eat. I do more so with dinner but the rest of the day is on the run all the time.

Butting in...but have either of you tried the Atkins bars? They are awesome! I eat one of those most mornings and they keep me full.

I ran 5 miles yesterday (up from my norm of 3) with OUT my Ipod. It was drizzling. I need to run 5 again today but my legs are still feeling the extra.

Hope the class goes well!! You need to try a spinning class; they are THE best. I used to be a gym junkie before DH and I had the little ones.

I did an aerobics video & did some free weight arm exercises this morning.

I don't usually eat before I exercise at 6am just gulp some water. I shower right away then have some scrambled eggs & I feel good.

I made it through power step (not pretty but I did it ! ) It was fun but challenging for me. I will go again.
I will have to try the Adkins bars. I have to eat yogurt in the morning for my tummy issues (thanks gallbladder surgery UGH).
Tommorow I think I will take a water aerobics class. I know I will be sore so at least this will be moving and helping the joints. Thurs... power step again, Friday treadmill time and yoga.
I will try a spinning class too. That one kind of intimidates me but power step did too and I made it !
On a sidenote the boys had a blast at VBS today.

ok off to the gym this morning after taking the boys to VBS. I am a bit sore but hoping to work off the sore today. Maybe that is the key ...keep moving so you don't get sore..haha! I know I need to rest or have a low impact day in there.
My eating was ok yesterday but I could do better.

I was just thinking about you. My legs are sore, and I was wondering how you were doing after your step class.

My trainer says that moving around the next day really helps with the soreness. Keep up the good work!

My food yesterday was horrible! I finished off all the ice cream, though, so it should be easier to eat clean today.

I was up again this morning to walk/jog on the treadmill. Got 2.2 miles in at 32 min. And I stacked wood last evening - a bonus for yesterday.

I really like to stretch the soreness out. It helps me a lot & lots of water.

It has been a rough work out week from me. I have only rowed once. Have had AF from hell. Hormone and cramping on steriods without the flow. Figure that one out. So how do I chalk this one up? The last time, she properly showed was 2/14 (Happy Valentines.) Can I just be done with it all? I am feeling better so I figure I will get a swim and a row in today.

UKbluegirl2 replied to Iocasta's response:
Ugg Steph that stinks. I'm having an AF from hell myself. Had horrible knife pains in my stomach last night, was up several times and am struggling at work. Not sure if I have a bug on top of AF, or if age is creeping up on me....

Either way, ran 5 miles again yesterday. I too was way sore. Amazing that just upping the mileage 2 miles can do that much.

Hopefully my stomach will ease up and I can hit the trail for at least 3 tonight.

Good job everyone!!!

Just think how good you will feel when it's over. I've found the more I dread going to the gym, the better I feel when I'm done.

I've got an appointment with my trainer today. I'm scared he is going to want to weigh me today. Ugh.....

Eh if you have the clothes on you have to go. Maybe you can just scale it back. Hope you aren't too sore tonight.

I was up again today but it was hard to drag myself out of bed! I did the treadmill again today but I only walked for 25 mins. No extra exercise tonight I get a hair cut along with DD.

It has been months since I lost but I think this might be the week. My weigh ins are on Fridays. Begg your trainer to wait another week.
