Hope everyone had a great weekend sounds like everyone is busy!
So beginning of the week work outs! I am going to body pump this morning. Missed turbo kick as Tre slept in but that is fine!
I have to start packing as we are leaving Saturday on vacation. Feels like you need to pack the house up. And I want to keep up the workout routine while traveling. I hope I can. We will be doing lots of walking and the hotels we are staying at have fitness centers soooo if I am not too exhausted.
Hope everyone has a great week !

GO MAMMA! I"m going to yoga at 4:30 when my kids take a class. May try to walk around the block a few times today. I wore flip flops yesterday and now my feet hurt. Being on the banana peel to 50 is no fun I tell ya...

Where are you going on vacation? Getting away sounds great - if just to have that laundry pile out of my view

DH is doing traffic duty at the elementary school today - my daughter wears a yellow vest and helps open the car doors. Super cute! You can sure tell what families are NOT morning people -

We are going to South Dakota again. Going to Mt. Rushmore, Riding the 1880's train, Flinstone Park, Crazy Horse Monument and an Outdoor Water Park. The last day we are staying at Deadwood. (Looks like an old west town ...Total cowboy stuff ! The boys will love it !
I hate packing. I either take way too much or not enough. I also am with ya on the laundry piece. The good part is we are staying at my Mom's a couple days after so I can get laundry done there before heading home.

I am on the injured train. I split wood on Friday & over did it. My back has been hurting since then. Advil & the heating pad have been my friends. I took a walk yesterday but today I am resting again today hoping the pain will go away so I can exercise tomorrow.

Maybe going to the pool with the kids this afternoon if it doesn't rain.

How was body pump? Did you like it?

Your vacation sounds like so much fun, and Deadwood sounds like it would be really neat! I've never been able to keep workouts up while I'm away from home. It would make coming home and getting back into the routine so much easier, though, if I would.

I got my resistance training in today. I got to do one of my favorite things today -- throwing a ball at the wall in the basketball court. I can always get so much aggression out that way! Then we walked all around Six Flags. I'm tired now!

Keep up the good work everyone! It helps keep me motivated reading about what everyone else is doing.

Body pump was rough but good workout. Basically an hour long workout with dumbells, weights. Man oh man my arms were literally shaking. Then I did 20 mins cardio on the treadmill.
I know I am so motivated with workouts that I am scared to "let it go". I know we will be doing lots of walking though too but not the same as a workout so we shall see what happens.
Yes Good Job everyone it keeps me going too to hear all of you!

Hey everyone! How are you doing? I am still soooo sore from body pump. I do not think that will be my future class. The free weight upper body thing is tough and my wrists took the brunt (carpal tunnel here) so either I will haveto modify or give that one up.
Today I am attempting to pack for our vacation. Hate packing. I do have a sitter tonight (her last night with us
So I will probably make the step class tonight.
Have a great day all !

Just got back from a training session. I feel good, but tired. It's kind of strange to type because my hands are still shaky from working so hard!

Can you do the body pump without hand weights? Once my muscles got a bit stronger, my wrists wouldn't get sore with hand weights.

I did do the treadmill on Tues. & my back didn't hurt worse from it. So I tried the stationary bike on Wed. & I am back to where I was hurting wise on Friday. So I am resting it through the weekend hoping I don't have to go to the dr next week.

Anyone have any tips for a hurt back. I don't think it is in the bones. It is the muscles or a pinched nerve.

Ouch! I think you are wise to let it rest until next week.

I would just try to stretch. If it's a pulled muscle, you don't want to stretch it out, but try to stretch the surrounding muscles. At least, that's the advice my trainer gave a couple of months ago when I hurt my side/back.

It's so frustrating to want to work out, but physically not be able to.
