Heat Wave

MrsWhiteCastle posted:
Ugh. I love Summer because the girls are out of school. I hate the heat, though. Today starts our heat wave. The next couple of days are going to be 100+. We haven't had rain for a long time, and there is none in the forecast. Yuck.

Time to fill the kiddie pool.

Here too. Temps about 104 plus a heat index. Not sure if the boys are going to have baseball tonight or not. Pretty hot out for that ! We shall see.
It is going to be really warm from here on out looking at this week's forecast.
We had rain last week when I was gone but it is all dried up now due to the extreme heat.

It will hit Chicago tomorrow. We have had no rain as well. I have been constantly watering my gardens. I can't wait to see my water bill. Last summer, I didn't have to water once. We are supposed to have scattered thunderstorms. Hopefully, one will pass over my house.

We are currently at 104 plus the heat index. The high is supposed to be 113 yet today. We have been at 100 plus degrees since Saturday. Last week we got about 2 inches of rain but that has all dried up. I have been watering about every other day. The kids have been playing in the pool every day this week. Though they won't go outside until about 6 at night. It is just to hot other wise.

We got new sod about the week after Memorial Day. Then our landscaper also told us our front lawn was full of 'brown patch' and if we didn't water it as well, we'd need sod for it. Yep the water bill is bad at our house.

It is 88 here today with temps at 100 tomorrow. Chance of rain next Tuesday with a greater chance next Friday.

No baseball tonight for the boys too hot. I am somewhat glad we do not have to be in that heat. It is really rough today. Not much cooler the next few days though. I guess the heat is on.

Ugg, I'm sorry. We hit the upper 70's this week and have been loving it. It's going to cool down to 70 this weekend but with the exception of the chilly evenings it's still glorious.

I grew up in Scottsdale and hated the heat.

We were still at 100 degrees last night at 7:30. I was watching the weather and next week we are supposed to cool down to about 99 for the high every day next week.

It is to be a cool 95 today. I guess better than yesterday. It is extremely humid as well. We were supposed to go to a baseball game tonight but I am not sure with this heat. I hate to have the little guys out there with this heat/humidity.

We are supposed to hit 107 today. Humidity is supposed to be low, though, so I guess it could be worse.

We have had to water the grass so much, I'm afraid to see what our water bill will be.
