    Thanksgiving Plans
    iocasta posted:
What is everyone's plans? We are headed to London Thanksgiving week. We were to go to Scottsdale to be with DH's family but we decided to do a quieter Thanksgiving. It turns out one of our favorite restaurants in London is doing a Thanksgiving dinner. I'm excited not so much for the Thanksgiving menu but that there is an expectation that children will be there. We haven't ever taken Levi because it really isn't a restaurant that expects to see children, even though he would do perfectly fine. One of our nieces that is teaching English in France will come over on Thanksgiving day and spend the rest of the trip with us in London.

As some of you can tell I'm at home today. I need to take one of the old girls to the vet.

Not looking foward to the driving but it will be nice to get away for awhile.

We are home alone, which suits me fine. I might run a 5K or I might stay home and watch the parade...have not decided yet.

As of right now, we'll be heading to my aunt and uncle's house nearby with the rest of my family. We're a little up in the air because my MIL is having surgery for breast cancer the day before Thanksgiving. If there are any complications, I see DH and I spending time with his side of the family instead. We're really just hoping everything goes well (no reason to think it shouldn't, but any time you hear breast cancer, it's alarming).

Going to some friends house for dinner. I met them through my SIL whose family will be there as well. Should be a fun day. Lots of kiddo's.

I'll be bringing the sweet potato casserole, fresh cranberry sauce, and a pumpkin cheesecake.
