    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

My almost 8 year old made me a pot of coffee yesterday morning - From getting the pot out of the dishwasher all the way to pushing the button! (photo below)

What has your kiddo done lately that made you say "wow!"?

Learned how to pee standing up. DS is delayed and just potty-trained for pee a week before his 5th birthday. Grandpa taught him to pee standing up last week and he's (DS) is so proud of himself.

That's awesome! With 2 girls, I never thought of that as a "learned skill" but I guess it is!

Well we learned to use the toaster this morning!
I think that is a good skill ! There are so many others that they are doing on their own. I am having them spread their wings more and more.
They have both learned to dial grandma as well.

My now 4 yr old has learned how to completely dress herself. There are only a few times that we need to help her and I think it has more to do with her mood than ability. She is also tall enough that she can reach light switches without a stood and can open the refrigerator to get things on her level out. I love this independence! However, I still love when she wants to cuddle on the couch during a movie.

My 3 year old DD seems so independent. She gets her self dressed, she goes in the fridge and/or snack drawer and gets something if she wants. Plus, she knows everything about the IPAD. It amazes me that she is doing all these things.

DS reading skills are getting so much better. I smile every time I hear him reading. He is really enjoying it too. Plus he is enjoying his math homework. I pray he takes with him this enjoyment as he gets older. When I tell him he has math homework to do he says "oh good, that's so easy". I hated math growing up so I'm hoping he has a better knack at it then me.
