Chicken Pox
mrswhitecastle posted:
Apparently it is still possible to get Chicken Pox, even though you have recieved both vaccinations. It looks like only 2% develop it after being vaccinated. Even with those odds, BOTH my kids currently have the Chicken Pox.

The good news is that it's a mild case, and it shouldn't take them very long to get over it. They think it's a pretty sweet deal right now -- they feel fine AND don't have to go to school!

Wow! I did hear at one point that when they have the vaccine if they get the pox it isn't as severe.
But yikes! Hope they get over it quickly.

Oh dear. I remember having chicken pox when I was five at this time of year. I was bummed because I missed my Kindergarten Christmas party. Mine was pretty mild as well but I gave it to my siblings and they have really bad cases.

That stinks! I bet they were glad for a few extra days off though!

How are you feeling? The lungs all healed up?

I hope they are feeling better. Good Luck to you.

I got Chicken Pox twice a mild case in K and a much harder case after my brother had it when I was in 1st grade.
