OT: Organizing
mrswhitecastle posted:
I have been on an organizing streak lately. It seems everything in my house is just driving me crazy!

I've just gotten started, and I've only done the pantry, some kitchen cupboards, and the girls' closets. I am currently tackling all the paperwork, office junk, and computer. I just bought a new desk armoire so that I can hide the laptop, printer, and files behind the armoire doors in the living room.

Still on the list: my closet, hall closets, laundry room, playroom, basement, garage, and on and on and on...... Maybe I'll be done organizing in time to do Spring cleaning.

Any good tips/tricks you use to organize your stuff? Any good websites that help?

My house is driving me crazy too but I am not getting much done about it. I can't seem to complete the simplest task these days without someone interrupting me. I did get the girl's room painted and done (by someone else lol) but we are still waiting on DH to put up some shelves and stuff so that is hanging loose - I may just do it myself.

My favorite organizing tool is the garbage can. I'm the only one in my household who feels that way though, unfortunately.

That's my favorite tool too.

I have been home since November. I have cleaned just about every room in the house. When I mean clean I touched everything and got rid of a lot. The trash man hates stopping at our house lately. I just can't believe how much stuff we had. We haven't missed anything that I got rid of either.

I also found that I love the vac bags (my favorite is the tote vac bag). They really do save a lot of space.
