Last night Ryder was just acting up and being relentless in antagonizing his sister. DH sent him to his room at around 6:30 b/c it was just getting too much. He started crying and told us we were the worst parents and he wanted new parents. Ugh...makes you feel terrible.

He had something similar to me the other day. I yelled at him and he says "Timothy Greens mom never yells at him, I want her for my mom". He is referring to the movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" which he loves. I apologized for yelling and it just made me feel so guilty. Geesh, and he's only 7.

Easier said than done but try not to feel bad, all kids say this at some point but they don't really mean it.

My DD is only 4 and has complained about me yelling at her. One night she was saying good-night to DH in the livingroom when I hear her tell him that she needs to go to her room before mommy yells at her. Made me feel awful that she thinks I'm yelling when I'm just calling for her to come to her room. Guess I need to change the tone in my voice.
