Visit to ER - not too bad though
    seeit2 posted:
My mom and brother were visiting over the weekend. Of course we have a medical emergency. On a Saturday. My DS came up with (grew?) a HUGE lump on the side of his neck. I took him to urgent care and they sent me to the ER at the children's hospital for an ultrasound. They told me they would likely keep him a few days, then after some tests decided it was a badly infected lymph node but he would be better off at home. So we spent 5 hours in the ER before we were sent home. It sucked. Now he still has a huge knob on the side of his neck, it's the size of a plum, and a fever. Supposedly it will go down in a few days, but that thing looks bad. (He is not complaining though). Really put a damper on the visit but we enjoyed some down time together and played a lot of board games.

Oh, how scary! I hope it goes down soon, and his fever goes away. Poor kid.

When I saw your post title, I was afraid it was food reaction related. I guess they just like to keep you on your toes!!!!

I assumed if it were allergy related it would have been on the allergy board which is why I didn't get too worried I am glad he is feeling ok and it turned out to be nothing too crazy. Sometimes downtime turns out to be a nice bonding time too
