DS turned four -and checking in
seeit2 posted:
Hey guys. I don't know if there will be anyone left to chat with but my little man just turned four, so I'm thinking I'll keep checking in. We didn't do much for his birthday except make him his favorite dinner (cheeseburgers) and take him to the park. His grandparents sent along a ton of gifts. I am up to my ears in trucks and plastic tools.

DS is not fully potty trained - he was well on his way recently but the ended up in the hospital and that pretty much killed it. So we are trying again this weekend and hopefully doing it for good. I'm going to just put him in undies and suck it up until he starts going along. I know he can do it, he is just really high strung about getting things right. But I had a long talk with the pedi and he thinks it's time to throw him in. I do too, but I"m not looking forward to it!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Happy Birthday to the little guy!

I check in occasionally, but it's been so quiet I do it less and less. DS just turned 5 a few weeks ago. We went on vacation to Disney and on the Disney Cruise early in September, so we kept it pretty low key as well for the birthday.

Given all the birthday presents, I think we're ready for a good toy purge soon!

Happy Birthday!

I love four-year olds! It was one of my favorite years with all three kids.

Good luck on the potty training.

Hey Deb- Good luck with the potty training. It really is true what they say about boys and girls. Ryder wasn't fully potty trained till he was almost 5 and Ryleigh was fully potty trained just after she turned 2.

Hope you are doing well. It is really slow here now. I check in every now and then. I haven't seen Steph on in a long time. Do you know if she's doing ok?
seeit2 replied to laney0705's response:
No I have not heard from Steph lately, sorry. You are so right about the difference between the two - but in DS' defense he seemed to hit some major life changes just as he was on his way, and mom and dad let it go...we had to bite the bullet as much as he did!

Happy birthday! Hope the potty training went well. DD1 still has accidents fairly often and I get so frustrated. I feel like I've been potty training for two years!
