    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? DD has shark teeth

OK it's dental month at Deb's house. DD turned 7 last spring and has not lost a single tooth. About a month ago we found that one of her bottom teeth was coming in behind the baby teeth in front - it was lining up behind her bottom teeth. We called it her shark tooth (turns out dentists do to lol) and took her to the DDS. He gave her two weeks to wiggle the front teeth out herself and if that didn't happen we made a date to pull them both. THey did not budge. So yesterday she had two teeth pulled. She took it like a champ and is thrilled to finally be like all the other kids and have gaping holes in her smile. Supposedly the new tooth will move forward into place once it has the space - time will tell.

One of DD's teeth did that, too. The back tooth was in before the front one was gone. We were able to pull the baby tooth, though. The back tooth did slide up into place, and looks fine now. Well, as "fine" as her other teeth look -- the dentist has told us to start saving for braces.

My nephew had to have at least 4 teeth pulled b/c there was no room in his mouth for his new teeth. She is a jack-o-lantern just in time for Halloween!! LOL.
