Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons

We bought this book: "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" from Amazon a few months back based on reviews I read online. I have to admit I wasn't sure if it would work but it received almost a full 5 stars from 980 reviewers, so we thought let's try it since it was only $15. DD (will be 5 in Dec) is on lesson 29 and can already read simple sentences. Anyone who wants to give their child a head start in reading or has a first grader struggling with reading, I HIGHLY recommend this book. It starts out slow but the pay off is worth it. DD actually cries when we forget to do her reading book, she loves that she can read and understand stuff. I can't wait to see how she is reading at the end. There is also some practice with writing sounds.

I have read many reviews about "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons". I must say that most of them were positive.

Every child is different however and no parent should feel bad if one method does not work with your child. There are plenty of options available.

Perhaps the most important ingredient in any 'Learn to Read' program is the parent's participation.
