I wouldn't worry too much about the size of your son if his doctor isn't. It looks like he's doing great developmentally! I gave up comparing our daughter (almost 9 months) to other babies. I've seen some smaller than her and some much larger than her and younger. I try to concentrate on what's right for her, no baby will be the same. I wouldn't worry about him not liking textured foods, just keep trying them every so often. It could just be the teething and maybe the textured stuff irritates his gums, or he just doesn't like it. Our daughter has been showing signs of teething since about 3 months and finally cut her first tooth last weekend. Hang in there!
