I need some advice. My son is 6 years old and had 2 accidents tonight alone. He was putting water in the dogs bowl and just peed and started crying. He is swearing up and down that he didnt feel like he had to go. I thought maybe he just waited to long then it happened again 30 minutes later. I told him he would not get in trouble if he did feel like he had to go he just had to tell me and he insists that he did not feel like he had to pee at all. Has anyone had this problem before with their kids? What could this possibly be?

I think he might be embarrassed and trying to excuse his accidents. Try encouraging him to go every hour, even if he doesn't feel like it.

When my neice was doing this it was because she had a urinary tract infection. While it is less common for boys to get them they still do sometimes so a visit with the doc to rule out an infection might be a good idea.
