our 7 year old daughter is having a real hard time focusing in school. and cries alot in school. she is well fed, has enough rest, does good when she wants to and has no issues. not sure what we can do to get this turned around. we have taken away tv, computer etc but that doesn't seem to do it. any ideas?

Hi Troy - Having a child crying in school is very upsetting...thank you for posting.

Has your daughter had a comprehensive physical exam since school started? I would start with a dialogue with her doctor.

Is she with one teacher the majority of the day? (My elementary school daughter is in her home classroom most of the time) Have you spoken with her teacher? A meeting about the classroom dynamic and the observations of an adult who is with her in school might be very helpful.

Please check back in!
