Buckle Fracture

Has anyone else with a 6 yr. old have or had a buckle fracture radius of the wrist? I'm more concerned with his pain tolerance. The hospital gave me a script for Tylenol with Codeine and my husband thinks I should only give it to my son if necessary. my son seemed fine with his pain when we left the er. I'm just so confused on what to do. Can anyone give me some advice on this matter?

I would only give him the pain medication if he needed it and then also probably before bedtime since you don't want any discomfort hindering him from falling asleep.
